The Bavarian Minister of Science and Arts Markus Blume emphasizes: “Welcome back Home! I wish Prof. Dr. Michael Huth a great start at the Technical University of Nuremberg and look forward to working with him. He is the ideal candidate for the office of President at UTN. With his vast experience abroad and in founding companies, he fits in perfectly with the spirit of a cosmopolitan start-up university. As a native of Franconia, the development of the UTN is also a matter close to his heart. Many thanks also to Prof. Dr. Alexander Martin, who has confidently steered the fortunes of our youngest state university in recent months and is now once again fully focused on the important areas of research, innovation and entrepreneurship as Founding Vice President.”
"I have been involved with cybersecurity and AI for more than 30 years – topics that are more relevant today than ever. That's why I'm thrilled that, as founding president and together with all staff and students of the UTN, we can build Germany's first university for the age of AI and the future of education, work, and innovation," highlights Professor Michael Huth (Visiting Professor at Imperial College London and Co-Founder of Xayn). "I will draw on my experience of the past 30 and the talent of all at UTN – so that UTN will bring sustained social benefits and have continuous significant impact on the economy in middle Franconia, Bavaria, and beyond."
"The appointment of Professor Michael Huth as founding president of UTN, Germany's first university focused primarily on AI, is a great success for the German AI sector. He has unique expertise in the field – in-depth scientific knowledge combined with practical business experience as co-founder of Xayn," emphasizes Dr. Leif-Nissen Lundbæk (CEO & Co-Founder of Xayn).
