BERLIN/TOKYO, March 04, 2026 – The European AI company Noxtua enters a collaboration with Japanese legal data & AI company Legalscape. In this global partnership, the companies will include their offerings via API in the respective Legal AI platforms so that legal professionals from Europe and Japan will be able to benefit from European and Japanese Legal AI. This optional module enables the access in the respective interfaces: Users of Noxtua’s Legal AI Workspaces can access in the future Legalscape’s Japanese legal research capabilities in Noxtua’s interface, while Legalscape users will be able to access Europe’s sovereign Legal AI and European legal data through Legalscape's platform. This partnership will enable European legal professional in the future to work with Japanese legal data on a European platform for the first time.
University Spin-offs transforming Legal AI
Both legal tech companies share extensive AI expertise through their academic background in AI research and their long experience in AI development, having both been founded in 2017 out of research at the University of Tokyo (Legalscape) or respectively, Oxford University and Imperial College London (Noxtua).
