BRATISLAVA/BERLIN, 16. January 2026 – Europe's sovereign Legal AI continues to expand in Europe. In cooperation with Nakladateľstvo C. H. Beck, Noxtua is developing a Legal AI Workspace specifically tailored to the Slovak market. The AI solution complies with legal requirements and regulations and will be based on exclusive Slovak legal data. It will support legal professionals in law firms, legal departments, government, and the judiciary in their core activities, from gathering information and conducting research, to analyzing complex issues and creating documents.

Noxtua is already collaborating with other leading European legal publishers such as C.H.BECK in Germany and MANZ in Austria to develop localized versions of its Legal AI, based on exclusive local legal data tailored to the specific legal jurisdictions.

 Tradition and innovation brought together

Nakladateľstvo C. H. Beck has been one of the leading legal publishers in Slovakia for many years. Their Beck online database covers all relevant areas of law and contains court decisions, legal texts, and commentaries that are particularly essential for legal experts.

Founded in 2017 out of research at Oxford University and Imperial College London, AI scale-up Noxtua recently launched the Legal AI Workspace Beck-Noxtua in Germany in collaboration with Germany's largest legal publisher C.H.BECK. Noxtua strengthens Europe's digital sovereignty by forming strategic partnerships that combine powerful AI with European values such as data protection, transparency, and the rule of law.

To build a sovereign artificial intelligence infrastructure that is independent of US global cloud operators, Noxtua has partnered with the German cloud providers IONOS and Open Telekom Cloud (OTC). User data is processed exclusively on the secure servers of these certified companies, protecting sensitive data and ensuring the resilience of legal artificial intelligence. Consequently, Beck-Noxtua meets the stringent requirements for confidentiality, professional secrecy, and data security.

The GDPR-compliant Legal AI Workspace which also complies with the professional standards in Slovakia (such as Act No. 300/2005 Coll. Criminal Code and Act No. 586/2003 Coll. on the Legal Profession) supports legal professionals with

  • legal research using natural language, with access to Slovak professional literature, case law and legislation

  • analyzing complex problems and large volumes of documents (e.g. matrix analysis and bulk document evaluation)

  • creation of legal texts, such as submissions, contracts, and memoranda

  • integrating documents and work processes through connectors

Benefitting legal experts, legal publishing houses, and the law

"We’re delighted to add Slovakia to the list of countries where Noxtua will be available for legal professionals. We believe in working closely together with leading European publishing houses to develop Noxtua as Europe’s sovereign Legal AI that is highly-tailored to the specific European jurisdictions. The partnership with Nakladateľstvo C. H. Beck opens a new market for Noxtua and is another important milestone in our European expansion," highlights Dr. Leif-Nissen Lundbæk (CEO & Co-Founder Noxtua)

"Through our partnership with Noxtua, we will offer legal professionals in the Slovak market a sovereign and secure Legal AI Workspace, combining our database of curated legal content and extensive legal expertise with their powerful AI. This marks a big step for the Slovak legal market," explains Jiří Holna (CEO Nakladateľstvo C. H. Beck).

"With Nakladateľstvo C.H. Beck, we at the Beck Group are taking another important step toward European Legal AI. With Noxtua, we are developing powerful Legal AI that will benefit legal experts across the continent while strengthening the autonomy of legal publishers. This also benefits the European legal system as a whole, because sovereignty and independence are of fundamental importance in this area," emphasizes Dr. Roland Klaes (member of the management board of C.H.BECK Germany).
